Business Development Specialist
VSI has an immediate opening for a Business Development Specialist to drive sales for our extended sheltered workshop employing people with disabilities to perform subcontract packaging, assembly work, commercial printing and vet kits in a light-industrial environment.
Travel: Metro area travel. Employee must be able to travel for Sales and Marketing purposes and to develop new and maintain customers. Must be able to obtain an “E” license.
Preferred Qualifications: An associate’s degree in marketing, sales, and business, emphasizing production sales and two years of related experience. Or a High School Diploma or GED and at least six years of previous experience in production sales.

Production Floor Supervisors
Openings available at our Liberty and NKC location
We are a non-profit company that works with people with disabilities in a light manufacturing environment. This is a rewarding experience to help those with disabilities learn new skills so they can have more opportunities for employment as well as community integration. We are looking for the right person to join our team as the newest Production Supervisor for our North Kansas City and Liberty locations.
Pay: $17.00 per hour with .50 cent increase after three months and another .50 cent increase at one year.

Job Coach
Liberty location
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Job Coach to join our team. As a Job Coach, you will be vital in supporting and guiding individuals with developmental disabilities in their personal and professional growth. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others and contribute to their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide workforce development coaching to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist individuals in understanding employment labor laws and their rights in the workplace
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance job skills and promote career advancement
- Conduct interviews and assessments to identify strengths, interests, and areas for improvement
- Provide ongoing mentoring and support to individuals in the workplace
- Teach related matters such as public transportation, money management, personal hygiene, etc.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and (1) year of experience in retail, food service, maintenance, or production are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Experience in training development and implementation
- Proficient in interviewing, recruiting, and mentoring techniques
- Familiarity with employment labor laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Community Integration Specialist
Liberty location
Overview:
We are seeking a Community Integration Specialist to join our team. As a Community Integration Specialist, you will support and assist individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement individualized personal plans and community outcomes
· Develop and implement group educational and training opportunities
· Support and document employee progress for their VIP and provide input for employee action plans.
- Provide modeling and training employee skill development
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and one year of previous experience in social service and/or para professional environment.
- Knowledge of working with people with developmental disabilities is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals who may have challenging behaviors or communication difficulties
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Class E will be required
- Ability to pass a background check
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Program Supervisor

We are seeking a Program Supervisor to join our team. As a Program Supervisor, you will provide employment related advocacy and support for employees with developmental disabilities.
